Welcome

Hello and welcome! After some time away in colder climates, I’m thrilled to be back in my hometown enjoying the Florida sunshine. I’ve lived in Valrico most of my life and love giving back to the community that helped shape me. Outside of work, I enjoy boating, four-wheeling, scalloping, and spending time with my husband, daughters, and our yellow lab, Cash.

Education & Training

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University in Tallahassee, followed by my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from National Louis University, with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology.

My pre-doctoral internship was completed at Ohio Guidestone in Cleveland, Ohio. I’ve trained and worked in diverse settings, including the Hillsborough County Public School System, the Polk County Juvenile Justice System, private practices, and community mental health agencies.

Areas of Experience

I have extensive experience working with preschoolers, children, adolescents, and young adults from a variety of cultural and clinical backgrounds. My areas of focus include:

• Anxiety, depression, and mood swings

• Trauma, abuse, and grief

• Attention-deficit/hyperactivity and behavioral challenges

• Family, school, and peer relationship issues

• Anger management and coping skills

• Self-esteem, identity, and developmental transitions

• Sleep, tics, and obsessive-compulsive behaviors

• Gifted/IQ testing

My Approach

My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can openly explore their emotions, experiences, and goals. I enjoy working collaboratively with adolescents and young adults as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, and the many transitions of “adulting.”

I also work closely with parents to help them better understand developmental milestones and their child’s unique needs.

My therapeutic approach draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Interpersonal Therapy, tailored to each individual’s strengths and preferences.

Insurance & Appointments

I am an in-network provider with Blue Cross and Cigna. I am also out-of-network for TRICARE. I also accept self-pay clients and can provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement.
